Lots to catch up on!

There is no denying that I have been MIA from my little ole blog and its not for lack of topics to write about. Two weeks ago I had emergency gall bladder surgery after finding out that my gall bladder had just about completely failed. It was a very scary time for me and my family and I tried keeping it kind of "hush hush" other than asking the few twitter friends that I knew had their gall bladders removed recently, how they managed to deal with all of it.
Luckily after eight long days in the hospital, I was able to return home to my loving husband and my precious baby girls, just a mere 24 hours after having the surgery- man are they willing to kick your ass out quick! The recovery has been a rocky one, but I'm trying to remain positive and believe that God only gives us what we can handle and he obviously gave me the physical signs, as excruciating as they were, to get the medical intervention I needed in order to prevent many other severe issues that could have arisen without my gall bladder taken out.
Thankfully that is behind me, and I am just working on finding a diet that is conducive to not having a gall bladder anymore. For any readers who are in this same situation- I am up for any suggestions as to how to manage the healthy diet I have always tried to maintain and also avoid the foods that may aggravate my lack of gall bladder. Thank you in advance!
I am so glad to be home with my family- they are what keep me grounded in all aspects of life. My husband is an absolute saint and has helped beyond belief! Considering the weight lifting restraints I have, he has made my life so much easier! I am truly looking forward to feeling better and being able to have a belated Valentine's Day date with my husband since I was in the hospital for Valentine's Day. I am truly blessed to have a man who loves me at my worst and at my best!
I am dying to know what everyone did for Valentine's Day- leave me your comments and let me know your stories! I tried to keep up with everyone via IG and Twitter, but they had me on a lot of meds so I don't remember too much, plus I wasn't allowed to eat for many tests so that left me delusional for sure.
Happy Monday Everyone! Here is to me taking back to blogging now that I feel a bit better and hopefully I can reconnect with all of my favs! Lots of love! xoxo

  1. You poor thing! Hope you're feeling all better soon! We ordered in food on Valentine's Day and watched The West Wing, haha. Pretty boring, but the fact that Skip was actually off for it was a miracle in itself! Plus it snowed here that day:(

A little bit about me...

Hi there and thank you for visiting my little space of the internet, where I share some of my family stories, or hope to provide some inspiration for many, but most importantly to keep my sanity by writing amongst being a mother of two toddler girls, a former labor and delivery RN and wife. I hope you find yourself comfortable as you kick up your feet, maybe grab a cup of coffee, and read what little things may be happening over this way-WELCOME!
